EOLO set to bridge the digital divide in Italy with new FWA offerings
EOLO is ready to launch its new 5G mmWave standalone FWA network, using Qualcomm Dragonwing Platforms for the FWA CPE
EOLO, the leading Italian Benefit Corporation providing connectivity through Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technology, is poised to set a new benchmark in connectivity by delivering ultra-fast speeds of up to 1 Gbps—made possible through the integration of Qualcomm Dragonwing™ FWA platforms into its state-of-the-art 5G Standalone mmWave FWA network.
Qualcomm Technologies Inc. is supplying its Dragonwing platforms based on the Qualcomm X75 modem for FWA CPE devices, working closely with EOLO to deliver superior performance for customer receivers.
With its new network, EOLO will contribute to bridging the digital divide in Italy. EOLO believes that providing large-scale access to its 1 Gbps services, enabled by the new infrastructure, represents an important contribution to the country. For this reason, the new 1 Gbps coverage will also be integrated into EOLO’s wholesale platform and made available to interested operators. Thanks to Dragonwing technology, which supports ETH PDU-level transport, operators will also be able to flexibly integrate this technology into their own service portfolios.

EOLO è prossima a lanciare la sua nuova rete 5G mmWave Standalone FWA, basata sulle piattaforme Qualcomm Dragonwing™ per i dispositivi FWA CPE.
EOLO, Società Benefit leader in Italia nella fornitura di connettività tramite tecnologia FWA (Fixed Wireless Access), si appresta a stabilire un nuovo standard nel settore, offrendo velocità ultra-rapide fino a 1 Gbps, grazie all’integrazione delle piattaforme Qualcomm Dragonwing™ FWA nella sua rete 5G Standalone mmWave FWA di ultima generazione.
Qualcomm Technologies Inc. fornirà le piattaforme Dragonwing, basate sul modem Qualcomm X75, destinate ai dispositivi FWA CPE, collaborando strettamente con EOLO per garantire le massime prestazioni dei ricevitori destinati ai clienti finali.
Con questa nuova rete, EOLO contribuirà in modo significativo a ridurre il digital divide in Italia. L’azienda ritiene infatti che offrire un accesso su larga scala ai propri servizi da 1 Gbps, resi possibili dalla nuova infrastruttura, rappresenti un importante contributo per il Paese.
Per questo motivo, la nuova copertura a 1 Gbps sarà integrata anche nella piattaforma wholesale di EOLO e resa disponibile agli operatori interessati. Grazie alla tecnologia Dragonwing, che supporta il trasporto dei dati a livello ETH PDU, gli operatori potranno inoltre integrare in modo flessibile questa soluzione nei propri servizi.
